This summer i was lucky enough to have fulfilled a life long dream of owning a beach cottage. It's a 1908 carriage house garage, with a tiny apartment above ( garage AKA my studio). Well no mosaic work was produced! Instead I spent my time beach combing for sea glass and shells, getting up before dawn to see the sunrise above the ocean, walking the Asbury Park boardwalk, feeding the seagulls, and whale and dolphin watching. I feel blessed to have enjoyed all of this. Now that the fall has arrived i am full of new ideas to sustain me over the winter. Currently I'm attempting to make my own tiles. This will be something i can do next year at the beach with only a small amount of equipment. Here's a picture of my first try and memories of summer's beauty.
